A settings button does not touch most of that, and nothing in the interface will tell you it exists.

The practical approach is to use both instruments in order: press the in-product delete control if there is one, then send a short written request covering anything that remains. Two practical points matter more than the citations. Second, rights have limits: a platform may verify your identity before acting, may lawfully retain the categories listed above, and may be incorporated somewhere your own regulator cannot reach. When a request is ignored, escalate in order. Reply on the same thread quoting the original date and the deadline. Ask for the data-protection contact or officer named in the privacy policy, since most policies name one. State plainly what you will do next and when. Then complain to the relevant authority — a data-protection supervisory authority in the UK or EU, or the state privacy regulator or attorney general in the US — which costs nothing and which operators take considerably more seriously than a support ticket.
